v.1.0.4 [88KB] How does the Domain Name Grabber work?Once you download and install the Domain Name Grabber Widget, you'll be able to access it by activating Dashboard, a feature of Mac OS X, introduced in version 10.4 Tiger. Simply type the domain you want into the text field, select the extension you prefer, and click "GO!". Your default web browser will open and display the availability of the domain you want. If it's already taken, you can backorder the name, look up the current domain registrant in the WHOIS database, or choose from a list of similar available domain names.Installing Domain Name GrabberAt this time, Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it. Note: You can also drag the widget from the Widget Bar and place it on the Dashboard wherever you want.
